A great coffee shop full of used books, mostly in English. Heard lots of American accents; seems like a place where Americans gather. It felt nice as an American to take refuge here for a few hours and both my husband and I found books we needed to own .

I love coming here for coffee or cerveza, sitting on the sidewalk, playing Words with Friends or catching up with friends and family threads,, and most of all, people and dog watching.
I stopped by only once on this trip, but not for a lack of trying. They just seemed to be full on the sidewalk on several occasions.
Well for my one stop, I had the large Cafe Americano and it was perfect. The bathrooms have changed since my last visit and photos. They're now tiny stalls instead of the large bathrooms previously posted photos.
This will always be my one favorite Vallarta spot to just "hang". -

My Focaccia with pesto was delicious. Fast and courteous service. It has a calm soothing ambiance. We had a mocha latte with almond milk, nothing out of the ordinary but good. Overall this is a good place to enjoy a savory meal. I will be coming back.

Bibliophile's paradise for used books! It's such a nice, cozy cafe in Puerto Vallarta. Most of the books are in English and they are very affordable. I picked up Robert T Koyosaki's "Retire Young, Retire Rich" for 5 pesos. On Amazon, it's retailed for $13 USD. A tribute to the
common theme where many Americans come to Puerto Vallarta to retire affordably. (Beach front luxury for about $350k-$400k - another level of gentrification, but that's another discussion)
Oh, and the coffee is amazing! Best Coffee I had in Puerto Vallarta. The resort coffees don't even come close. I had the latte and there was a rich chocolately taste. By the way, it's 39 pesos. (about $2)
So for about $3 USD, you can have one of the best afternoons during your visit (of course, after having enough of the sun/booze/partying)
Not all books are 5 pesos. The newer ones are a little more expensive (up to 300 pesos). The prices are written on the back of the front cover.
Pesos only. If you had American dollars, they might not have enough to provide you change. -

Really good coffee, nice indoor atmosphere, a little pricey. But of course you're at the beach.
